I began recipe creating and baking out of my kitchen gluten free, vegan, cakes, cookies, muffins and brownies when I was diagnosed with severe to mild food allergies and intolerance to several of the top food allergens - eggs, wheat, gluten, dairy, gluten, soy, rice and corn in 2006.
The lack of tasty and delicious foods in restaurants and grocery stores which embodied these set backs, jump started me to create foods in my kitchen I enjoyed to eat. Foods that made me feel normal. Although we have made enormous headway into developing tastier options, Lorelyn's Gourmet Desserts are all nut free, kosher, halal and school friendly.
I feel it is my calling to give back and to help those who struggle with food allergies and intolerance. Lorelyn's Gourmet Desserts is also ideal for individuals who follow a gluten free and/or vegan, plant-based lifestyle who is looking for tastier and healthier desserts and snack options.
